Our Approach
Some music publishers and administrators follow a philosophy
that says "Throw everything you've got at a request and
see if anything sticks." That's not our approach. In
contrast, we work with music supervisors and production staff
as closely as time allows to recommend music that is best
suited to their particular needs. If we feel that we can't
immediately fulfill those needs, we actively seek out music
that can, and are always willing to recommend work outside
our catalog if it seems a better fit for a particular production.
Scope of Representation
Our catalog is comprised of two major components: work that
is published or co-published by Running Board Music, and work
that we administer for other publishers or for self-published
writers. All of our affiliated artists appreciate the timetables
and demands for flexibility that are integral to music licensing
for television and film, and stand ready to assist us in accommodating
our clients as needed.
Synchronization and Master Use Licensing
Running Board Music administers both the publishing and master
recordings for all the music in our catalog.
Studio Services
Through our affiliation with Uptown
Audio Productions, we can readily provide remixing, re-recording,
and segmenting of most of the music that we represent, without
significant effect on licensing fees.
